Stephanie Gartland, General Manager from The Pear Tree restaurant will be among our line up for this year’s demonstrations and discussions in the Orangewood Food and Wine Theatre.
Stephanie and and Chef Blair Macann will be harmonising sensational tastes from the Pear Tree menu with our beautiful local wines, specifically featuring those from Morepork winery.
If you have a quandary deciding if that fish dish is best suited to a pinot gris or a sauvignon blanc then this presentation is for you!
At The Pear Tree we pride ourselves on using as much locally sourced produce or locally made product as we can. The rest, to the best of our ability we make here in house. We are very lucky to find ourselves in a region overflowing with fantastic produce, from eggs to lettuce, olive oil and cheese we are spoiled with the quality of goods available practically on our doorstep. And if we can’t find it here the rest of the country has so much to offer that we are usually able to find it there.
The same applies to our fantastic local wines. Stephanie Gartland has spent the last 10 years living and working in wine and food throughout the country and she loves sharing her passion for wine in any way she can.
